 How do I reset a SafeStick Password / ReFormat / Wipe a SafeStick
Solution If you have forgotten your password, it MAY be possible to reset your SafeStick to factory settings.

However, if you have a SafeStick which is owned by your company, your company MAY have disabled this reset feature in SafeConsole. Contact your network administrator for advice.


PLEASE NOTE:

- The reset function erases all stored data and resets the device to factory settings. YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA. IT CANNOT BE RECOVERED AFTER A RESET.

- On a standard SafeStick you may key in an incorrect password 20 times. On the 21st attempt you will be warned reset will be instigated automatically (brute force protection).

- Any user can initialize the Reset process but to complete it administrator privileges are required.

TO RESET MANUALLY

- Insert the SafeStick

- The SafeStick menu will appear. If it does not, click My Computer, then Double Click "SafeStick Login".

- Select Action, Reset from the menu. (note this will NOT be available if your company policy has disabled it)

TO RESET VIA SAFECONSOLE

- Search for the SafeStick by user or serial number

- Use the "Factory Reset" button.
